Writing has been a passion of mine for a very long time. I always dreamt of writing a novel of my own instead of my ideas being kept away in the notebooks. Because of my studies, I never made time for it, until I came to Propel.

Over the semester, I worked on a novel which I titled “As Petals Fall, We Will Grow.” Throughout the creation of it, I learnt a variety of writing techniques, which let me explore more ways to create better dialog and story telling. I improved the way I show different characters’ personalities and emotions. This allows the reader to really feel the story. Later on, I was taught how to format and publish an actual novel. I even learned how a cover for a novel is made.

 My time in Propel not only let me obtain new skills as a writer, but also as a person. I’ve learnt how to be more confident when it comes to public speaking and expressing my thoughts. It’s something I’ve struggled with growing up, and I can proudly say this will now be stuck to me for the rest of my life.
