I’ve been obsessed with puppets since I was a little kid, an interest sparked by countless hours watching the Muppets. This semester I made 2 puppets as a mini-project - Blueberry Muffin as a prototype, and Fruitcake as a more refined and planned out character. I used a pattern from a puppet company, and crafted my characters. I also built a small collection of props for Fruitcake, including a purse, a flip phone, candies, and a little ladybug friend. While building Fruitcake I ran into some issues with the design, but finding creative solutions was a fun part of the process. This is something I could see myself pursuing in my future.
