At first, I came to Propel with ambitions to create a short story film but in the process, I discovered I was more drawn to documentary style films. I found them more interesting because I got to communicate with other people and share their stories in a form of media I enjoy. Throughout this semester, I have been learning and expanding my skills in digital filmmaking, communication, and interviewing techniques. For my final Propel project, I filmed and interviewed the amazing staff at Annie’s Attic for a small business feature film. Annie’s Attic is a thrift store and cat cafe that raises money for D'Arcy's Arc, a Winnipeg based animal rescue center.
