Cassandra focused on improving her art skills in the context of using said art for her university application portfolio. Her project revolved around her accumulating seven of her previously completed art pieces and creating three new ones at Propel. She also used her time to create the answers to the Emily Carr University application prompts: “what keeps you up at night?” “what you would put in a town square?” and “three consecutive images that talk about yourself.”

Cassandra worked with her peers to solicit many rounds of feedback on her work through out the semester. For the prompt “what keeps you up at night?” she created a 20 second animation that went through many many iterations as she continually worked with her peers to learn about and improve her art. Cassandra has loved the ability to explore her art more. She will be applying to four different universities across Canada in the coming months and is excited to continue her journey after Propel and high school have ended.
