This semester, I made a video game in the style of a 2-Dimensional RPG. In my first year at Propel, I learned the basics of necessary skills such as coding, drawing in pixel art, and long-term planning/organization. This semester, I simply improved on those skills and expanded my knowledge. I’ve really been emphasizing challenging myself with code these past few months. My game has a player and a large world that they can explore, with different regions and enemies, complete with their own A.I. that I programmed. The main centerpiece of my project and the highlight of my game is the boss fight, which I spent a couple of months working on.
