Oliver wrote and illustrated 11 pages of a webcomic that was uploaded to the online website Tapas. He first planned his pages, sketched them out and then transferred them to a computer and used a drawing tablet to digitally illustrate them. The story takes place in an apocalyptic world where a group of teenagers must survive and try to stop the apocalypse. The story features action, suspense and unpredictable moments.
Throughout the semester, Oliver worked hard on sketching, lining, colouring and shading each individual page. Oliver’s goal was to improve his art. He made a lot of community connections both inside and outside Propel and received lots of feedback in order to develop his work.
Oliver plans to continue the webcomic after he is finished at Propel. He intends to use it to sharpen his art skills in hopes to making a career with it.
