Hailey’s collection was meant to spread a message about mental health. Each of her designs represented a journey someone may face when they are dealing with mental health. She started off with her first piece, a red jacket with a painting of someone stuck in a mental storm on the back. Each piece had a different design to represent different feelings and phases someone may go through. Along with that, the colours of each piece grew lighter as the collection grew. Her last piece was pink cargo pants with butterflies going down the side of one pant leg to represent everything getting better.
Her clothing collection was meant to challenge her. She worked on improving the quality of her pieces, by working on her designing, sewing and painting for her pieces. She worked on making different kinds of clothing, for example, jean jackets, cargo pants, sweatshirts and button-up shirts. By working on different garments she was able to learn different stitch techniques and pattern making to cater to the garment she was working on.
