Gitanna - Webcomic

For as long as she could remember, Gitanna has always had a love for webcomics and graphic novels, but she had never found the time to explore these interests until entering the Propel program. She took advantage of this opportunity to create a comic addressing people’s common perceptions of intelligence and how youth are  pressured to acquire perfect grades, despite her idea that the grading system may not be an accurate depiction of someone’s intelligence.

Over the semester, Gitanna scripted and drew the first chapter of the comic, which consists of ten pages that are displayed on the website Tapastic. Gitanna continues to create new chapters and post regularly on Tapastic and Instagram about sneak peaks, release dates, and updates even after her time at Propel has ended. She also promoted her comic on Instagram a few weeks before the release date of the first few pages.
