Emma-Leigh created a video game titled Trepidation. It is a 16-bit puzzle game following the young protagonist Aya and her struggle of escaping Amy. Throughout the game, the player is tasked with puzzles to progress and various characters that alter the player’s view of the story. The purpose of her game is to tell a story, but one that the player could help steer on their own with hints from characters and artifacts found.
Emma-Leigh created each of the assets needed for the game: background music, background art, character sprites, and zoom-in scenes. She collaborated with peers from online communities for feedback on the style, coding, and music.
