This semester, Cassandra learned how to prepare art lessons and teach them to younger students. She created five lesson plans which included activators, step by step instructions, and a conclusion. After crafting her lessons, she found an opportunity to teach two of her lessons at Bertrun E. Glavin Elementary School with children in the grades 2-4.
With her art lessons completed, Cassandra began writing pieces about the people who have inspired her and her art over the years, as well as a piece to inspire children who want to follow their passion. These will be included in a book to showcase pictures of the students’ art during the lessons and to talk about everything that has inspired her. Cassandra’s goal was to learn more about the world of education, and to inspire kids to always do what they love.
