Aven created a short animation during her time at Propel. She had had an interest in the medium for a while, and with her project she hoped to determine whether or not the field might be a suitable career path. Over the semester, she discovered the ins-and-outs of the animation industry, which helped shape a better idea of what working professionally would be like.
Initially, Aven’s biggest goal was for her animation to be completely in colour, as colouring individual frames was something she had never attempted before. As time passed, she realized she had a bigger challenge to tackle - sharing her work. With encouragement from others, she gradually began showing her peers short clips of her project, and soon gained enough confidence to show someone new every day. Aven will continue to share her work with groups of people once Propel is over.
